However, I'm considering a method to keep stylized numberplates, but only use them for full-time cars and Independents.

I would prefer if you saved the images to your hard drive and then uploaded them to another image host like Photobucket.

Added some new functions;

- The ability to use pre-made backgrounds*
- The ability to use pre-made badges
- Number color/border color changes.

* This is made for a number plate .PSD template that I made some time ago; get it here. You can use this to make pre-made badges as well.

Anything you leave blank will default to something, so don't worry about it. Very Happy

Version 3 is up. It has a manufacturer addition for use with the ASCC or other series where manufacturer is more important than nationality.

I might consider an "Australian-Style" Ford and Holden badge for those with the backgrounds in blue and red.

Lycoia isn't involved with any series where Manufacturers are important to plaster on the TV Graphics. That part of the TV Graphics is for the ASCC, though it could be used for the PCC Cup or other series.

If it is used for any other series other than the ASCC. I wouldn't mind seeing it.

Well, the generator went down because 6te.net bitched about something I did with the points/results card generator and deleted my account. I'm not very concerned at all. (If you must know, I had this at the top: ini_set("memory_limit","12M"); ... apparently that didn't sit well with them... Laughing

)

I'm pretty sure the reason it went down this time is because someone opted to not listen to me and is pulling the URL for the image straight from the site.

I'm not saying it was anyone here, I posted this on F1 Rejects as well, so it could just as easily have been someone from there.

Point being; this is why I said not to hotlink to the generated images -- save them and reupload them somewhere else please. The code isn't very well written and could be a lot better, so please save me some headaches. Cool

Updated the mirrors. Added quite a few fonts, like the RCR numbers, the Lynxe numbers, some weird numbers... go nuts.

Added a few more fonts, such as the Xxxtreme Motorsports Numbers, a font called Harbell (it kinda looks like the #27 Nico Hulkenberg has on his helmet), the Swan Racing numbers that were posted on NNRacing, and a new treat -- a numberset based on the numbers on Ryan Hunter-Reay's IndyCar.

Also, the Lynxe numbers were too skinny, they're now a tick bolder.

In the next update, would it be possible to add the Volvo & Nissan to the car manufacturers please? I have plans to use this for October, but need those 2 available to achieve my plans

I don't see why not, really. Check and see if they're not in there already and my stupid ass just forgot to add them to the list.

To check that, put in Ford for the manufacturer. Then find "ford" in the url and replace it with either "volvo" or "nissan" (remove quotes) to see if they're there, but unlisted. If the image doesn't show up, or shows a blank, then they're not there. Very Happy

I might experiment with HTML5 on a new version of this generator. In layman's terms;

The center bars, number plate backgrounds, and flag images are all static images. Maybe just having the user set an arbitrary background color might be best. Maybe it'll work. Maybe not.

In other words, I'd just make a TV Banner v5 that uses HTML5 instead of this. It might look slightly different but by and large I'll try and keep the style the same. This TV Banner would not be affected. If you still prefer it, then use it.

Nissan is unlisted, but it appears that Volvo isn't there

Yes, but only on the comuv account.

Demo.

Scroll to the bottom.

Set Background Source to pre-made number badge.

Set directory to http://cynon.comuv.com/tvb/images/atp/

Set the car number to 7 (red flag), 17 (yellow flag), or 24 (green flag).

Generate the Image.

Go to the URL, find "&atp=". After that equals sign, put in either "red", "yellow", or "green", without quotes.

Press enter.

I'll post it separately, because I did rewrite enough to justify it being on its own. There's still a few quirks I need to take care of (mostly centering, and that I haven't made all of the country flags).

It's not nearly as well-made as anything I do at work (but that might be because I can see all the problems with it), but it's serviceable. There is a running order generator, starting grid generator, and a points card generator, but I seem to recall some of the other ones being memory hogs, leading to a few of my previous 6te.net accounts getting banned. Laughing

I just had an idea cross my mind, so I'll spill it out for everyone.

You know how there's an R and an I to denote who's a rookie and an Independent's Trophy driver, right? Well, would it be possible to add a trophy icon or something similar to denote who is a former champion?

Because if so, I think it would be a cool little addition to the TV banners. Some food for thought.

Since I don't have the PSD to those parts on the old banner generator, I'll pass on that one. On the new one (the one you see in TMMC races these days) it's definitely possible -- so much so I could probably implement it for the Surfers Paradise race. Perhaps as a gold box with PC on it.

I do like this idea.
